🎯 Supply chain risk management is a competitive advantage. This was a prominent theme from our customers last week at our inaugural Risk Intelligence Summit. Sprawling, complex supply chains create fragile systems for organizations to rely on, with hidden vulnerabilities in direct suppliers, their suppliers' suppliers, their suppliers' suppliers' suppliers, and so on. And it's not just cyber, their is risk across cyber, ESG, catastrophic, financial, geopolitical and restrictions. Companies who prioritize minimizing risk in their supply chains will be more resilient in today's climate, where supply chain disruptions are a frequent and costly disruption. The numbers are clear: 🛡 Businesses that invest in supply chain risk management outperformed peers in revenue growth by 1.5x from 2018 to 2023. 🛡 40% of companies have no contingency plan for supply chain breakdowns. 🛡 Only 1/3 of companies are ahead of their own targets for supply chain resilience. 🛡 Companies that are lagging (2/3) have less buy in from the board. Richard Vanderford writes for the The Wall Street Journal with statistics from Oliver Wyman and FTI Consulting. #supplychain #riskmanagement #scrm Theodore Krantz Jr. Yardley Pohl Chris Lee Dave DeWalt NightDragon
