Galaxy Bowling Switches Up Intercard has installed its latest cashless technology at Galaxy Bowling and Entertainment Center in Richmond, Kentucky. The 32-lane center recently refreshed its 50-game arcade with 30 new games and replaced an older cashless system embedded by another manufacturer. The Intercard system is fully integrated with Galaxy Bowling’s Brunswick Sync scoring and management system, allowing customers to buy game cards when they check in for bowling. It also runs Intercard’s latest PlusXL software, which allows easy customization of the touch screen on the arcade’s iTeller kiosk. The center says it has the largest arcade in Richmond. Bowlocity Expands; Switches to Intercard Intercard has installed its cashless technology at Bowlocity bowling entertainment center in Rochester, Minnesota. The 24-lane center recently completed a 6,000 square foot expansion of its redemption arcade, two-level laser tag arena and kitchen. The refreshed 45-game arcade includes five Impulse readers, which allow customers to use credit cards as well as game cards for VR rides and crane games. The new Intercard system replaces an older system previously embedded by another manufacturer. It is fully integrated with Bowlocity’s Brunswick Sync scoring and management system, allowing customers to buy game cards when they check in for bowling. The arcade also has an Intercard iTeller for easy purchase or reload of game cards without leaving the gaming area. Intercard’s Saul Scribner did the installation on-site in June 2024. BPAA Chooses iQ Reader for Bowl Expo New Product Showcase Prompted by the popularity of the QR code world-wide, Intercard created the iQ reader that sets the new standard for unattended arcade payment technology. The iQ reader uses built-in scanners to scan customer presented QR codes for payment and redemption point collection. This enables customers to use mobile devices, printed receipts or credit cards instead of play cards to activate games, reducing costs for bowling operators with arcades. Venu , the leader in gaming solutions for the world’s top hospitality hotspots has tested the iQ reader. Jason Mitchell in Debut EDU-Talks at Bowl Expo Jason Mitchell, Intercard’s customer success manager, will present an EDU-Talk on game card systems and cashless technology at BPAA’s Bowl Expo on July 3, 2024. New to Bowl Expo this year, EDU-Talks are BPAA’s version of the renowned TED Talks. Speakers will cover important topics for proprietors, managers and staff in short, memorable, story-focused presentations. Jason has worked in the amusement industry for more than 36 years. For more than 11 years he has brought his deep knowledge of customer service and technology to Intercard’s customers. He has also been a speaker at numerous industry gatherings hosted by such leading amusement trade associations as the BPAA, the AMOA and IAAPA.
