Today marks two years of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline - a 24/7 call, text, and chat line for mental health that's answered locally. It's great to see this partnership working well to get people in crisis the help they need.
WVXU News highlights the innovative collaboration between Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center and Talbert House. This partnership ensures callers are connected with the right help. 911 callers who need immediate support from trained mental health professionals are connected to 988 to promote de-escalation and safety and the efficient use of resources.
