IntePros was proud to sponsor an inspiring event this morning: Engaging with PAL, a Panel Discussion on Public Safety with the Police Commissioner. A special thank you to Macquarie Group for hosting and Matthew P. Cabrey for organizing! Linda Bakhshian and Patrick Ward kicked off the event with great introductions, and Mike Innocenzo did an excellent job moderating the discussion. We are especially grateful to Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, Chief Public Safety Director Adam Geer, and Deputy Commissioner for Community Partnerships Myesha Massey for sharing your passion, authenticity, and selflessness with everyone in the room. One of the most impactful moments was when the Commissioner discussed succession planning and the importance of preparing the next generation of "Guardians," a term he used for police officers. The concept of guardians really resonates. On a personal note, I grew up playing basketball in PAL leagues (Simpson Playground for all you Northeast alums!) and still recall the confidence and joy those experiences brought. PAL is about so much more than sports for countless children in our city. Learn more about supporting the organization here: https://phillypal.org/

Sabrina and I were so excited to kick off our second Empower-U Mentor Circle last night. The purpose of POWER is to empower all generations of women leaders through purposeful connections, education, mentorship and advocacy. The mentor circles give us an outlet to join conversations with other women who have found themselves in similar circumstances. There is a focus on learning by listening to how others think about approaching situations, sharing best practices, and sharing advice. There is so much knowledge within the group and with this knowledge comes POWER. We had a wonderful time getting to know each of you and we are looking forward to supporting & learning from one another over the next 9 months & beyond. What a great night for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Philly Suburbs Chapter! We had the opportunity to hear from some of the amazing leaders at Merck about their career journey's and how networking impacted them along the way. Thank you to Lisa Lupinacci, Adrelia Allen, and Bala Sreenivasan for taking the time to share your stories with us. I walked away with the reminder that networking should be intentional, genuine, and diverse. I was also reminded that both your career and networking journey will never look the same as somebody else and that is not a problem- but what makes us unique! I also want to shout out my fellow board members Joyce Ercolino Archinow, Christine Duborg, and Shannon Keenan for their excellent work in this event! Joyce and the programming committee worked very hard to make this such a success and we appreciate all of the time spent! Thank you to Merck for sponsoring the event and for the fantastic hospitality. I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Had an incredible time at the Pittsburgh Robotics Network Happy Hour! I was fortunate to take a tour of Gecko Robotics, thanks to Mike Boyd and Al Biglan for showing me around and sharing the amazing work they’re doing. And yes, I even got to meet their robot dog, who was casually strolling through the building! It was great to catch up with my connections, including Sophia Gretchen, Victoria Mattingly, PhD, Austin Nadin, Bill Kossack, Erin Gildea, Ben Wilson, Emily Greene, and Volker Heydemann. Looking forward to more opportunities to connect and learn about the innovation happening right here in Pittsburgh!
