ISQ in conjunction with Xpriential (https://xpriential.com/), Sid's Gym, and Roger Harvey (www.thisislevel5.com), are excited to present a live HALO Talks with Crunch Fitness Founder Doug Levine on October 17th at 6pm. The event will be hosted by Pete Moore in a "talk show style" format at Sid's Gym (149 West 27th, between 6th and 7th Avenues).   Levine originally coined the tagline “No Judgments,” and everything from the edgier staff to its highly regarded group exercise program, to the industrial look and feel of the facility reflected Doug’s willingness to shake up what was then a fairly staid industry. Crunch has grown from that single West Village boutique studio to a now-global franchise with more than 400 locations in the U.S. and internationally. Crunch is currently #29 on Entrepreneur's annual Franchise 500 list, jumping 10 spots from last year. Levine sold Crunch for $95 million in 2001.   The event will be kicked off by an interview another long time industry veteran and visionary, Sue Hitzmann, the creator of the revolutionary MELT Method (Sue was also a part of the Crunch team for many years early in her career!)   Sid's Gym is a boutique facility, so spaces are extremely limited, and we are filling up quickly. For those who cannot attend, it will also be livestreamed on the Sid's Gym YouTube channel as well as available for replay.   Invitations are now available to the public while space is still available. Please DM or email ([email protected]) or Roger ([email protected]) directly for the Eventbrite link. https://lnkd.in/euPP7W2P

"Scaling" is something Deekron thinks about often. He didn't start out in the fitness world - he came from a traditionally corporate environment and ended up in the HALO space. Deekron has a team of assistant coaches who handle the day-to-day stuff, so he can focus on the big sort of "check in"/milestones with his clients. He usually works closely with around 20 to 30 clients at once, and he's realized that scaling means spreading his message (in a variety of ways, not just training) to continue to make an impact. That was one of the motivations for writing the book, and why he wants to do more public speaking and podcasts. His ultimate goal is to make 'mindset' the foundation for everything, with improved fitness, career, and even relationships as possible outcomes. To make this happen, he's planning on bringing in other experts from different fields, all working together to improve people's lives in a holistic way. Let's take a look at Deekron's new book . . . "The Nine Shifts." This is Krikorian's second attempt, after "scrapping" the first one. His collaboration with a fantastic editor who was also familiar with the "3x3 framework" went a long way to make this work that much better. "The Nine Shifts" is a map, split into three parts, each dealing with three common challenges that people over 40 often face when trying to improve their mind, body, and life. "The Nine Shifts" covers a lot of these challenges, making it a helpful guide for anyone looking to make big changes in their life. A new HALO Talks is out! We're welcoming back serial entrepreneur and industry veteran, Deekron Krikorian for his second appearance on HALO Talks. Deekron's had different jobs over the years, but they've all revolved, in some way, staying healthy and fit. His Dad, who was a professional athlete, inspired him to care about fitness from a young age. Staying fit has helped him in lots of ways-making him feel better, look better, and has seen him through some tough times. He wanted to share these benefits with others, so he struck out on his own. Even though he studied accounting and business in college, he always knew he wanted to help others. He quickly realized his brother's music made his workouts go a little easier. . .which eventually led to one of his first ventures, Motion Traxx. 🤣 Sad thing is? There are still places like this. The HALO sector really never got over the black eye it got (still has?) from back in the bad-old Bally's days. (Lifetime contracts and all the other nonsense.) Don't be this place. Have enough confidence in your product, your staff, and your marketing and know that regardless of what you do. . . people will cancel. Period full stop. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It's part of the industry. So obviously. . .continue to examine your staff, your systems, your marketing, your customer service SOP's and on and on. . .and do what you can to obviously reduce cancellations. . . but if/when it happens, make it easy. Don't make them jump through hoops. Thank them for their business. . and they may actually come back! But if you insist on playing @#$@#@ games like this? "Registered letter to so and so," or "a signed note from your doctor," or "something indicating you're moving" ad infinitum, ad nauseum (I've seen these and more) you can be SURE you'll never get them back. Worse? They'll definitely complain about it to others as well. https://lnkd.in/eBV5xRzB
