Coinbase reported strong results for the first quarter of 2024, beating expectations on revenue and profitability. That said, the accounting world has been eagerly anticipating this report for a different reason.... The early adoption of ASU 2023-08 by Coinbase added $650M of newly reported gains and required an update to their Adjusted EBITDA reporting.
