The USA as an (Insurance) Startup by Peter Crowe of Team Focus Insurance Group & 🇺🇸 Nick Lamparelli of Insurance Nerds On July 4th, 1776, a remarkable startup was born. Dubbed the United States of America, this fledgling entity struggled in a world dominated by established powers. Much like any new business venture, the USA had to fight—quite literally—to establish its place. Once it found its footing, the next challenge was determining how to survive and thrive amidst formidable competitors. Does this resonate with anyone else in the insurance industry? I definitely resemble this remark 😂 Let's change the way we think about insurance. Insurance is the foundation to a sound financial plan and we need to make sure that it continues to be so. Let's speed up insurance innovation!
I help trusted advisors develop strategies that protect their top clients from risk associated with estate planning, wealth transfer, and business continuity.

In this episode of the Get Ready Money Pros Podcast, Tony Steuer and Darrell Young discuss Darrell's journey, the wealth gap, and how education and networks can drive financial success, emphasizing the joy of using money to benefit others. - Understanding economics is essential for financial literacy, as it helps in making informed decisions about money and resources. - The wealth gap in America, where the top 1% holds more wealth than the entire middle class, is a significant problem contributing to political divisions and other societal issues. - Teaching economics and encouraging the gifting of stocks can be impactful ways to address the wealth gap and promote financial literacy. - Starting financial education early, especially for kids, can help prevent financial mistakes and build confidence in handling money. - Developing academic and professional networks is crucial for long-term financial success. - Avoid making purchases on impulse and set guidelines for your spending. - Financial jargon like Financial Wellness, Financial Freedom, and Financial Independence have nuanced meanings, so it's important to understand them. - Focus on building skills, making connections, and taking advantage of opportunities to set yourself up for success. - Finding joy in giving and using money to make a positive impact on others can bring more fulfillment than material possessions.

We want to share this recent article from one of the highly regarded publications within the property and casualty industry. https://lnkd.in/eFAahmrR It highlights the trend of more U.S. citizens choosing to self-insure their homes due to limited availability and/or significant premium increases. While there are many factors contributing to the current hard-market conditions, our agency has gained valuable experience navigating the turbulence here in SWFL. We have counseled many new and existing clients who are open to self-insurance, making them aware that this does not have to be an “all or nothing” proposition. We encourage our clients to engage with our client advisors ahead of their upcoming renewals, so that we may develop several alternatives for them to consider. We remain highly confident in our ability to find cost effective solutions for primary flood, excess flood, homeowners, and builder’s risk insurance.

Together, let’s make our financial education community better than ever! 👉 You’ll find the survey link in the comments. Or, you can send me a DM and I’ll send the link directly to you!
