The Nebraska Department of Insurance (NDOI) helps grow Nebraska by creating opportunities for policyholders and the regulated community through a more effective, more efficient, and customer-focused state government. The NDOI's primary functions include: - Investigating policyholder and consumer concerns - Licensing insurance producers, agencies, and companies - Reviewing life, health, property, or casualty policy forms for approval - Reviewing and approving rates for many lines of insurance - Ensuring compliance with the Nebraska Insurance Code through administrative actions - Investigating insurance fraud - Educating and informing policyholders about insurance issues In 2021, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts appointed Eric Dunning as the NDOI's Director.
