Yes on Measure A!
Home is more than just shelter—it's about hope, safety, and community. Our #HomeisHope campaign showcases how housing and essential services are changing lives. Over the next few weeks, you’ll hear personal stories from individuals across the County, illustrating that this crisis affects real people, not just statistics. Through mental health care, job assistance, and substance abuse treatment, lives are being rebuilt and hope restored. But with crucial funding at risk and key policies in need of support, now is the time for Angelenos to take action. Be part of the solution. Together, we can break the cycle of homelessness and build a future where every Angeleno has a place to call home. Visit TheAngelenoProject.org to learn more about our efforts. Learn more at MeasureAFacts.com for details on the ballot measure.

LA Times Editorial Board correctly notes that “76% of the land in affluent neighborhoods is zoned for single-family homes. L.A. cannot promote fair housing and encourage affordable and mixed-income homes in high-resource areas if so much of the land is off limits to apartments and townhomes.” And hopes that “Mayor Karen Bass’ appointees on the commission agree and back a proposal to allow apartments and townhomes to be built on single-family zoned properties near public transportation stops and major streets in affluent areas.”
Editorial: A test for Mayor Bass' Planning Commission — support affordable housing or preserve single-family zoning?

Services, not sweeps!
Encampment sweeps are counterproductive, costly, and harmful in so many ways. They destroy items needed for survival; cause trauma and worsen mental health conditions; destroy life-saving medications and medical equipment; sever connections to care; undermine trust in service providers; increase arrests and assaults of residents; contribute to drug overdoses; push residents into more dangerous, isolated environments; cause widespread fear; increase hostile interactions with the police; disproportionately impact BIPOC groups and people with disabilities; violate rights; contribute to stigma; destroy vital records; prevent gainful employment; create criminal records; jeopardize housing opportunities; server connections with community; damage hope; cost millions of dollars; divert money from solutions such as housing; increase incarceration costs; undermine health goals; and much more!
