    🏅 🏅 Celebrating two SEAS faculty members, an SEAS student, and an SEAS student club for being recognized with the University at Buffalo Pillars of Leadership Awards!   Alina Vereshchaka, assistant professor of teaching in computer science and engineering and Kristen Moore, associate dean for equity and inclusion were both recognized with Exemplary Mentorship Awards for supporting and developing our students.   One of our newest alums, Daysia Augustin, who graduated from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, was acknowledged for her leadership and advocacy in the #UBuffalo community with the Exemplary Student Leader Award. Daysia founded the UB Women’s Healthcare and Wellness Association to raise awareness of women’s health issues.   INFORMS UB Student Chapter, made up of mostly students in industrial and systems engineering, received the Student Organization Award for Excellence in Academics and Service.   We’re proud to have every one of these winners recognized and thrilled that #UBSEAS continues to be an exemplar of leadership excellence. https://lnkd.in/excFQqen

John Coles, E Jay Wood, Sabrina Giacona, and Emma Crooks joined us on the evening of Tuesday, March 12th, offering insights from their diverse experiences across various sectors. 👥 The engaging Q&A session was followed by a networking opportunity that allowed students to delve deeper, asking more personalized questions to gain clearer direction for their future careers.   • Let's meet our UB INFORMS team for 2024! (part 3/3) Esther J. : VP of Outreach Esther Jose is a 4th-year PhD candidate in Operations Research, and she also completed her Bachelor’s degree at UB in 2020. She is originally from Chennai, India. When she is not working, you can find her wandering the aisles at Trader Joe’s or playing at Rally Niagara Badminton club. Ian Unson : VP of External Events Ian Unson is a 4th-year PhD candidate in Operations Research. He was born and raised in Rochester, NY but have called Buffalo home for the last 7 years. His areas of research primarily focus on Game Theory, Optimization, Analytics in the applications of Homeland Security and Soft-Target Protection. He is super excited to help new and current students enjoy INFORMS as much as he has. #ubinforms #ubinformsteam
