📢 Public Meetings for Charging the Crossroads! 🚗🔌 Join us at these upcoming events to discuss Indiana’s electric vehicle charging network expansion! Funded by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program, this initiative aims to deploy at least 500,000 EV charging stations nationwide by 2030. Join us in June and July 2024 to discuss the Charging the Crossroads program! These meetings will provide attendees with program updates and an opportunity to share feedback. I loved the opportunity to volunteer last night at the Indianapolis Indian’s game. In partnership with Indiana University Health Momentum Indy and the Indiana Department of Transportation, we passed out helmets to kids at the baseball game. Each kiddo received a free helmet, Riley Children's Health bike safety brochure, and interactive bike safety guide. It means a great deal to me to have two organizations I love work together to promote safe and healthy choices for kids.

This week is Public Service Recognition Week! Our employee education spotlight is on Joel Rosfeld today! He's currently a construction inspector with the Indiana Department of Transportation and working toward an associate degree in building construction management with Ivy Tech. Here's what Joel had to say about his experience: "The decision to take courses at Ivy Tech was heavily weighed by the ability to utilize the tuition assistance program offered to state employees." "I currently attend one course each 8 weeks to be able to balance work and having a family with as little interruption as possible.
