During a brief ceremony at a Developmental Services, Inc. and Bona Vista Programs, Inc. golf outing on June 14, State Representative Heath VanNatter was honored as the 2024 INARF PAC Board Legislator of the Year! As the Chairman of the House Labor Committee, Representative VanNatter decided to hear and add an amendment to a bill that will allow us to have more access to Direct Support Professional (DSP) workforce data. Because of his leadership, we will now be able to follow the course of our vital DSPs and find new ways to support them and the important work they do. Thank you, Representative VanNatter, for your dedication to the DSP workforce and for your help in accomplishing this critical piece of the 2024 INARF Legislative Agenda!

INARF is pleased to extend a welcome to Tarrytown Expocare. Tarrytown was established as a 100% IDD and Behavioral Health focused long term care pharmacy in 2007. Beginning with services to 150 Individuals in the “Tarrytown” section of Austin, TX they have grown to serve almost 24,000 Individuals from 9 Regional pharmacies in 29 states (including IN!). Tarrytown realized that in order to serve the unique needs of this population, they needed to invest in systems, processes and people that could focus on proprietary and scalable pharmacy solutions for the nurses and staff caring for individuals with development disabilities. For the past 17 years they have worked to design a process and set of tools that simplify pharmacy services for nurses and staff so that they can focus on caring for individuals. Their goal is to navigate complex medication related challenges so that the Agencies can gain efficiency from pharmacy services. Visit their website for additional information. https://bit.ly/4bgMEYP
