Last week iN2L LifeLoop rebranded to LifeLoop, and a lot of people reached out to me about the change. I don’t usually write things like this publicly, but thought it was relevant to share my perspective. Many people who reached out assumed I would view what happened as a loss - I just don’t see it that way at all. First, the name iN2L has not gone away, its’ now the name for the content and engagement system products in the LifeLoop suite. But, more importantly, the new direction is something I’m proud of, not sad about. Tom, Leslie and I had no idea what to expect when we launched iN2L in 1999, we just wanted to, in our own small way, bring technology to older adults, particularly folks living with dementia. Along the way so many people, in the hundreds, helped craft and shape what iN2L ultimately became. Both people internally within the company and so many providers. It’s hard not to name names, but I’ll forget someone and feel horrible. You know who you are! My honest perspective is that iN2L succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. And it was time for smarter people to help keep it growing, building, expanding. Of course there have been some growing pains and changes through the transition, that’s always the case, but the LifeLoop CEO, Navin Gupta, and his leadership team are poised to continue to grow the company the right way. I’m thrilled to still be a part of the company as a strategic advisor and committed to advancing LifeLoop’s mission and vision.  And my life-changing TaleGate journey has brought me face to face with so many happy iN2L customers, what a delight. So nothing but gratitude for the changes and for the continued growth. Maybe some day  my daughter Perrin will get married , and she may decide to change her last name. Losing the name York would not mean she’s not still the coolest woman in the world, its just a reflection of her own life changing and growing. Same with iN2L now being under LifeLoop.
