Today I had the privilege of bringing the voices, perspective and experience of diverse entrepreneurs and particularly emerging fund managers of color to the #Whitehouse to address the critical issue of #Access to Capital for underrepresented entrepreneurs. Powerful impact happens with #intentionality and #collaboration across government, private sector, Philanthropy, States and citizens. So proud to be part of the IIE coalition, co-leading the work on behalf of JumpStart and catalyzing solutions through IIE.VC

Today, at the White House, we announced early results from our 18-month pilot and that the Milken Institute will be our new home to lead the next phase of IIE. Measures of IIE’s impact to date: - Deployed over $10M in direct funding - Secured over $177M in loans, loan matches, grants, and private capital - Reached 3,172 small businesses to date - Provided 2,067 hours of training and technical assistance to 836 staff - Launched investment vehicles to address the need for match capital to underserved entrepreneurs, including the Indigenous Futures Fund in partnership with Mission Driven Finance - Assisted with the launch of the California Small Business Loan Match, which has had 5.8M impressions in just two months. On Thursday, June 20, IIE.VC hosted the LP & Emerging Manager Summit in collaboration with our partners at Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. We brought together over 100 LPs, GPs, state & federal government leaders, and VC ecosystem partners at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco to discuss the future of venture capital, highlighting the critical role of public policy in the U.S. VC industry. Building the next-generation of venture capital funds that truly reflect our diversity as a nation takes more than just capital. NetWork Kansas is responsible for deploying the $69.9 million SSBCI allocation for the state of Kansas.
