Celebrating Diversity & LGBTQ Inclusion at #WeTrade2024! 🌈🇨🇴🤝 Last week, the Cámara de la Diversidad hosted its 10th annual WeTrade event in Bogotá – one of the largest diversity fair for businesses in Latin America! This epic event fosters connections, inspires action, and helps to build a more inclusive future for all, including the LGBTQ community. ️ Big congratulations to Felipe Cardenas Gonzalez (IGLTA’s Immediate Past Chair) and the entire team at Cámara de la Diversidad for organizing such a successful event that champions inclusive business opportunities for diverse communities! Last week, Clark Massad (he/him), VP of Global Partnerships for IGLTA, participated in World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC)'s "Passport to Inclusion" webinar which featured insights from WTTC's latest report that was produced in partnership with AIG and HospitableMe. 🫶 Massad—alongside panelists representing Hilton (Erica Cary), HospitableMe (Kenny Porpora), Miles Partnership (Melissa Cherry) and WTTC — discussed how to foster diverse and inclusive workplaces and traveler experiences. IGLTA members and partners gathered in London recently to celebrate WorldPride 2025 which will be held in Washington DC next year! 🌎🏳️🌈 Matthew Palmer, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the United States of America, held a special reception at his residence in London celebrating WorldPride2025, hosted by Destination DC, a valued IGLTA Global Partner.  Here are some of the event highlights: 🫶 DCM Palmer spoke about the importance of making destinations welcoming for all travelers and the role the LGBTQ community plays in driving economic growth through travel. 🫶 Elliott Ferguson, President/CEO of Destination DC, underscored the value of their partnership with IGLTA and encouraged attendees to join him for the Pride Celebrations in Washington DC next May & June. 🫶 Ryan Bos, ED of the Capital Pride Alliance highlighted all the exciting events planned as part of the WorldPride 2025 celebrations. 🫶 We had lots of fun!
