71W at 59% efficiency continuous wave, from a single edge-emitter with 1000 µm aperture: the best combination of optical output power and conversion efficiency achieved to date from a single diode laser. The results were delivered from a diode laser on a compact, passively cooled heatsink with just one p-n junction. Far field remained in a range useful for industrial processing. A few months ago, I had the chance to fly to Tokyo to attend the 20th IEEE Silicon Photonics Conference (IEEE Photonics Society). What an incredible experience to join this family and to present my recent work on “Millimeter-long antennas for optical phased arrays”. A busy month of June! Grateful to Lamontagne Boris at National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada and Matthew Posner at IEEE for inviting me to present the latest developments in #photonic #metacomponents PlanOpSim SOLNIL. I am thrilled to announce that our paper, "Silver TiO2 Nanoparticles Enabled Fiber Optic Sensor for Biosensing," was accepted and presented at the 15th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies 2024 (ICCCNT 2024), hosted by IIT Mandi. Our paper introduces an innovative LSPR-based Silver-TiO2 sensor for diabetes detection. This highly sensitive sensor effectively detects subtle changes in blood, facilitating early diagnosis of pre-diabetes and diabetes while minimizing false negatives and positives. I am immensely thankful to my co-authors, Roshan Mahashabde and Nandan Chebbi, and our mentors, Kavita Sharma and Dr. Preeta Sharan, whose contributions were crucial to our success. I am delighted to share that our paper, titled "Silver TiO2 Nanoparticles Enabled Fiber Optic Sensor for Biosensing," was accepted and presented at the 15th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies 2024 (ICCCNT 2024) held at IIT Mandi. This conference has previously been hosted by esteemed institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, and IISc. Our research introduces an LSPR-based Silver-TiO2 sensor, which is highly effective and efficient for diabetes detection. This sensor boasts high sensitivity, capable of detecting the smallest changes in blood, thereby aiding in early detection of pre-diabetes and diabetes, and reducing false negatives and false positives. I am incredibly grateful to my partners, Roshan Mahashabde and Pavan Practoor, and our dedicated mentors, Kavita Sharma and Dr. Preeta Sharan. This achievement would not have been possible without their invaluable contributions. A special thank you to the IEEE Photonics Society and IEEE BANGALORE SECTION for providing the opportunity to work on innovative research through their internship program.
