We are thrilled to share that our paper titled "IQ-code for PDL and Crosstalk Mitigation in Nyquist-WDM Transmission based on DSC" has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology! In this work, we address critical challenges in Nyquist-WDM systems, specifically focusing on the crosstalk resulting from lnter-channel-interferance and polarization-dependent loss (PDL) that limits transmission capacity. We introduce a novel digital MIMO coding technique, IQ-code, which enhances the performance of dual-polarized WDM systems by mitigating PDL and demonstrating resilience against crosstalk and non-linearity. Notably, our technique simplifies decoding while achieving up to a 1.5 dB gain over 1000 km. A huge thank you to co-authors Akram ABOUSEIF, Rami Klaimi, Ghaya Rekaya-Ben Othman, Yves Jaouen, and Jamal Darweesh for their contributions. 📄 Read the full paper here : https://lnkd.in/ebG2m-H8 . #Research #Photonics #WDM #IEEE #Innovation #OpticalCommunications #LightwaveTechnology
