Last week, I attended the first workshop of the #AIxDesignThinking Workshop Series hosted and led by IDEO U. The workshop series is focused on integrating and leveraging AI across various phases of #DesignThinking: Inspiration, Ideation, Implementation. The first workshop was focused on ‘How to best leverage AI tools when gathering inspiration and brainstorming’, led by Ellie Raissi of IDEO. Ellie Raissi spoke about the concept of Human-Centered AI and its key goal being human augmentation and not automation, i.e., to help humans do what they do the best (eg: creativity and reimagining experiences) through AI instead of replacing what human do the best (eg: AI creating those experiences). She emphasized on the continued need for critical thinking, as AI has its own set of limitations. One should view and use AI as a partner or a collaborator and not as a replacement for human creativity and judgement. Coming to answering the question: How to best leverage AI tools when gathering inspirations and brainstorming, below are my key takeaways: 1. One can seamlessly leverage AI to get started or overcome creative blocks during various ‘#divergent’ moments of the design thinking such as gathering inspiration, generate ideas or to help make ideas tangible. 2. Coming to the ‘#convergent’ moments, AI can be leveraged to synthesize data and visualize concepts during test-to-learn. 3. We did some quick experimentation on brainstorming with ChatGPT and DALL-E, and learnt that while these models enhanced creativity by producing large number of ideas, however there was a significant decline in the novelty and diversity among those ideas. 4. Quality of prompts is directly proportional to the quality of results, as well as how specificity and context are key to prompting with AI models. 5.  One can enhance the specificity of prompts to AI models by: -         Using personas -         Defining the audience -         Adding constraints -         Encouraging wild ideas -         Providing examples -         Formatting the output -         Getting visual More to learn and share from IDEO U's remaining #AIxDT workshops! #AIxDesignThinking #IDEO #DesignThinking #HumanCenteredAI #AIInnovation #CreativeCollaboration #AIWorkshops #CriticalThinking #AIandCreativity #Innovation #FutureOfDesign #IDEOU

    Agile Coach at Cambio Group

🌟🎉 Yo fam, big news! 🎉🌟 I just bagged my "Change Leadership Certificate" from IDEO U! 🥳📜✨ After diving into the agile coach world, I realized traditional change management wasn’t it. So, I ditched the old-school programs 'cause, let’s be real, those weren’t doing the job. This 15-week program is straight fire, covering courses like Designing for Change, Activating Change, and Storytelling for Influence. Perfect for anyone who sees our chaotic world and says, "Let’s embrace the mess!" 🔥🌍 Check out the glow-up: 🔹 People Who Fear Change: "Let's form a committee to discuss the potential impacts of change." 🧐📋 🔹 People Who Embrace Change: “Change starts with a small group of people who challenge the status quo.” 💥🚀 🔹 People Who Fear Change: "Here's a 100-page report on our change strategy." 📚😴 🔹 People Who Embrace Change: "Let’s put people, not process, at the centre. Co-create, start small, and make human moments." 🖌️🎨 🔹 People Who Fear Change: "A detailed communication plan will ensure success." 🛑🗂️ 🔹 People Who Embrace Change: "Co-create beacons for change with ongoing, transparent convos to build a movement for change." 🧩💬 I highly recommend this cert if you wanna build momentum for change, not just a boring plan! 💼✨ #ChangeLeadership #Innovation #IDEOU #NeverStopLearning #ByeByeBoring #HelloExciting

“We need to own our careers, to decide what we want, then build the skills to get the opportunities and move forward," explains Shellye Archambeau, Creative Confidence podcast guest & author of Unapologetically Ambitious. If you don’t have a clear goal, it’s helpful to just pick one. “We spend too much time trying to figure out the perfect thing. But if you pick something and work toward it, you are building skills and capabilities. Even if you decide later on that it’s not what you want to do, you can still leverage all you've done and learned."   After defining what you want to achieve, think about how you can get there—then put all your energy into making it happen.
