In nonprofit work, the employees are our greatest assets. The people guide our friends into stable housing, provide phenomenal summer programming to our children, and protect open spaces for our families to enjoy. The people are at the heart of what makes organizations so effective. Check out the latest Idaho Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Report to help you hire and retain the best employees! https://lnkd.in/gCQNaSDy

Find the newly-released compensation and benefit report here! https://lnkd.in/gCQNaSDy Thank you to our partners on this report at the Idaho Policy Institute and our partners at the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, Nonprofit Association of Washington, The Foraker Group, and the Montana Nonprofit Association. S/O as well to Lantz McGinnis-Brown who was our principal investigator on this project at BSU!
"People are the Programs!" -- #Idaho #Nonprofit leaders: Our Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits report is out! This report has benchmark data on nonprofit wages and benefit packages to organizations operating in Idaho (as well as our partner states in MT, WA, OR, and AK) to help you hire and retain the best talent possible. Find/purchase the report here: https://lnkd.in/gNp3J6Nz Soapbox minute: We like to say 'People are the Programs' around our office at the Idaho Nonprofit Center. What we mean by that is that nonprofit services and programs are only as good as the people behind them. The people are the secret sauce behind what makes nonprofits go! Nonprofits, like any other business, have to compete on the open market for talent; paying competitive, livable wages is so important. Our message to funders is that there is no such thing as funding 'programs only' without including the people who drive those programs. To drive home a point: It's nice to fund the water to put out the fire, but the fire doesn't get put out unless there's a full time, paid, and trained person to hold that hose and put those flames out...That's the people! You can't separate the people from the programs..they ARE the programs!

We love supporting our state's nonprofit leaders!
This week we had our #IdahoLeads cohort kickoff retreat at the Y Camp in Cascade, ID (Treasure Valley Family YMCA). We had 16 #nonprofit #leaders from nearly every region of the state and nearly every mission area that were represented. We spent the better part of 3 days diving deep on our leadership styles, strengths, and opportunities while also building a community of practice -- aka nonprofit leader therapy! I couldn't be more grateful for these leaders and what they are working to accomplish in their communities and around the state. Great leadership makes all the difference for our organizations, our missions, and our communities. FYI - Last photo has #bookrecommendations from the leaders in attendance! PS- Thanks to our retreat facilitators Black River Performance Management / Rob Lion, Ph.D. & Angie Lion, CSO. Have a great #keynote speaker we should know about for our statewide #nonprofit #conference? Let us know in the comments below!
Hello #nonprofit friends: We are looking for recommendations on #keynote speakers for our statewide nonprofit #conference later this year. The theme is roughly 'the future of the nonprofit sector' but keynotes could include folks from outside the sector as well. Keep in mind if your suggestion is a NYT bestselling author, we probably don't have the budget for that person 😉 Drop any recommendations below..We'd love to hear from you at the Idaho Nonprofit Center!
