Thank you to Gonzalo Moreno for the outstanding presentation regarding the evolution of the Colombian egg market which has seen a nearly 3-fold growth in consumption since 1994. The FENAVI Colombian Poultry Association has helped to drive this growth explaining how the producers in Colombia have come together to establish strong, reliable sanitary conditions, invest in promotion of the egg to increase the awareness with consumers regarding the myriad of health benefits offered by the egg and now moving forward with working to place eggs with disadvantaged populations suffering from malnutrition. If you missed the presentation (or you wish to watch it again!), please visit the link below: https://lnkd.in/gnjR7r4M Attendees from 51 different countries around the world attended the presentation eager to consider new strategies for implementing in their home country to raise the consumption of eggs worldwide!

Please join us on September 30 for the webinar "The Colombia Egg Miracle: From 128 to 345 per capita growth over 30 years" by Gonzalo Moreno, President of FENAVI Colombia. The Colombia egg industry identified the need and had the foresight to make the commitment to a long term plan to increase egg consumption in the country and was able to see a 2.5x increase during the past 3 decades where the country now stands with nearly 'an egg per day' consumed by all Colombians. The success story in Colombia provides an excellent example for other countries with low per capita egg consumption rates and how to raise the image of the egg to consumers and drive demand. The webinar is free and open to all and will be conducted in English. Live viewing will be at 7:00 AM CDT USA (Chicago). Please register at the following link: https://lnkd.in/gUBgTDPf

China produces more than 1/3 of all egg mass produced in the world. Technical directors Daniel Valbuena and Vitor Arantes in separate visits presented to thousands of egg producers and allied industry people over several weeks in multiple venues and events across China recently. Proper body weight management, correct light stimulation programs with adequate nutrition are key to unlocking the full genetic potential for the Hy-Line Brown, Tint and white varieties in the market as producers seek long, extended production cycles with optimum feed efficiency. Disease management and strong biosecurity practices are also important to achieve best results. Communicating these messages via roadshows together with the local Hy-Line presence demonstrates Hy-Line's commitment to customer service and allow for firsthand feedback from the market for Hy-Line to continue to develop the varieties with the traits egg producers require for continued success.
