🌱 We are back with another story from one of our Kentucky FFA Students who were awarded scholarships to help support their SAE projects. 🎉 A Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is a student-led, instructor-supervised, work based learning experience where students are able to pursue their passions in agriculture through hands-on learning, real life experiences and develop employable skills that will aid them when they pursue a career. 🍯 Hear from Harper, who is focusing on honeybees for her project. Learn more about her story in the video above! 🌟 We firmly believe in empowering and supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this initiative.

In less than 2 weeks, Hutson’s promise to reopen bigger and better will be complete! Although I’ve only been a part of the team for 6 months, it’s always great to see a business reinvest in a small community after a tragic weather event. #Hutson #JohnDeere #MayfieldTornado2021

Nestled in the picturesque Leelanau County of Northwest Michigan, Shooks Farm is a fourth-generation family-owned agricultural gem. Situated near the stunning Grand Traverse Bay, Lake Michigan, and Torch Lake, this farm boasts a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1914. Over the past century, Shooks Farm has cultivated a diverse array of crops, including wheat, strawberries, asparagus, soy beans, and canola, while also raising beef cattle. However, their most prized crop in recent years has been their exquisite cherries. Recently, the farm has embarked on an exciting new venture, growing grapes and producing their own wine and cider under the name Cellar 1914, paying homage to the farm's founding year. Shooks Farm is committed to upholding its agricultural heritage while embracing the thriving local tourism industry, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience in the heart of Michigan's beautiful countryside. Hutson Inc. is proud to partner and support great farms and people like the Cellar 1914/Shooks Farm 🍷 Here their story from Owner, Greg Shooks, here: https://lnkd.in/dDcHNC86
