How comfortable are children in cargo bikes? With cycling being a symbol of Dutch culture, a team of TU Delft | Mechanical Engineering students set out to find out, using our Q6 for their tests. They discovered that children experience significant discomfort, especially on rough surfaces like cobbles. Interestingly, Q6 proved useful for initial comfort assessments, although it transmits more vibrations than a real child. Two-wheeled cargo bikes also outperformed their three-wheeled counterparts.
