At HubSpot, we're all about #tranparency and Chris Knobloch can definitely attest to that as he shares his Sales Growth Story with you 😉 "Hi everyone, I’m Chris from the Inbound Success Coach team. I handle incoming requests and leads, helping guide them to the right HubSpot solutions to grow their businesses. My interest in sales actually started during my time as a fundraiser for NGOs during my time at university. After I graduated, I knew I was ready for a new challenge and wanted to sell something a bit more complex and valuable. Jumping into sales at HubSpot has been a pretty fun (and rewarding) ride so far. Right from day one, during onboarding, I could tell there’s always support whenever you need it—whether it’s from your team, managers, or just fellow colleagues who’ve been there, done that. Let’s be real though—sales can be challenging, especially in the beginning. One of the biggest hurdles for me as an ISC was learning the ins and outs of the HubSpot product. Spoiler alert: it’s a huge platform that does pretty much everything, so wrapping your head around all of it can feel overwhelming at first. But here’s the cool part: that challenge actually helped me get a super deep understanding of what we offer and how businesses can use HubSpot to grow. Now that I’ve moved into my next role (Business Development Representative), I feel way more confident helping companies who are stuck or unsure of their next move. If you’re looking to start your sales career, HubSpot is the place where you’ll be mentored, supported, and pushed to grow—while getting a real feel for solving business problems in the real world." Step into the world of HubSpot through Jack Murray's inspiring journey as a fall co-op turned full-timer on the Product Rollouts team. 🌟 Jack, Could you sum up your internship experience with us please 🤗 💬 I joined HubSpot for a fall co-op in 2023 and was immediately amazed with the level of trust and support given to me on a regular basis. Working on the Product Rollouts team, I was able to help develop important apps that control how HubSpot creates, implements, and manages new features available to users. Although I initially had a lot to learn, my team was always around to answer questions, give insights, and ultimately help me learn the ropes quickly. Towards the end of my co-op, I had gained a lot of independence and was able to help my team design and launch a customer-facing app frequented by thousands of users, which was an amazing experience. Why did you decide to come back 🤔 💬 I knew early on in my co-op that I really wanted to return full-time to HubSpot. The support from my team and the big challenges given to me allowed me to learn a lot in a little amount of time and contribute to really exciting projects. Learning, support, and being able to contribute to exciting software were things I was looking forward to most about starting my career, and I knew from my co-op that I could find them in abundance at HubSpot. Now that I'm back at HubSpot full-time (and back with the Product Rollouts team!), I can already tell I'll have plenty of opportunities to be challenged, find support, and learn. With your learnings, what is your advice for students looking to pursue a career like yours 💡 💬 Students interested in working at HubSpot should know that the supportive spirit of HubSpotters extends beyond other employees. What are some aspects of our internship that HubSpotters enjoys? 🤔 Well (Chester) Htoo L. can definitely answer that for you! "Hello, I am Htoo and I am currently working as a Software Engineer intern in a team responsible for driving user growth, and making user onboarding journeys more enjoyable. I chose HubSpot for the company's culture around technology and looking after their employees. During my internship at HubSpot, since day 1, everyone has been super friendly and easy to talk to. The technology here is quite complex but everyone is willing to explain to me whatever it is that I don't understand or quite get. The teams here are very small which makes the team a lot closer and collaborate effectively. The work culture here is also super great. My favourite part is the remote flexibility. I am doing my internship as a remote intern based in the #UK, whereas the rest of my team is either based in #Ireland or #Germany. All of us on the team work on our own schedule and we make sure that things get done in time while maintaining our own personal lives. One of my other favourite things is the mentorship program. Each intern gets assigned to a senior engineer as a mentor from the team. My mentor helped me with a lot of things whether it's career-related, or HubSpot-specific product knowledge-related. We have weekly 1:1 calls to give feedback on my performance and areas that I can improve on, and just chat about the projects. My mentor is super helpful when I have something that I want to ask, but don't know who to reach out to. She would show me where I can look up for what information which is super great. Interning at HubSpot was one of the most remarkable experiences of my life because of the culture here, and how fast you are contributing to the real-world product live at the customers."
