Using the NATO phonetic alphabet, “Hotel” and “Tango” is derived from the first names of founders Hilary and Travis.

"There is no wrong way to drink whiskey; that's probably the most important thing to keep in mind. Go for what you enjoy, not what you think you should enjoy. If your favorite is flavored whiskey, that's wonderful. You don't have to love drinking whiskey neat to be a whiskey drinker. On the rocks is my preference. I tend to like raw flavors, where it smells like it just came off the farm. I also like things on the drier side, so rye whiskey was a great starting point. For people drawn to sweet and vanilla flavors, it might make sense to start with bourbon.
