Lieferantentage // Supplier's Days 🇩🇪 International news from Germany 🇩🇪 🇬🇧 On 24 and 25 September, we welcomed over 400 partners to our headquarters in Sitzenhof as part of our 4th Supplier Days! Under the motto ‘Stronger Together: WE WILL FIND A WAY.’, the latest HORSCH developments were presented and current topics, trends and future opportunities were discussed. In addition to dinner and networking, our guests were also given factory tours as part of the programme. With new input and interesting discussions, we are now well prepared for the future together - we will find a way. --------------------- 🇩🇪 Am 24. und 25. September durften wir bei uns am Hauptstandort Sitzenhof über 400 Partner im Rahmen unserer 4. Lieferantentage begrüßen! Work Hard, Bike Hard 🇩🇪 International news from Germany 🇩🇪 🇬🇧 Armin works at our Schwandorf site and has a real passion for cycling. His favourite means of transport to work is - of course - the bike. Whether alone on a mountain bike or together with colleagues on a racing bike. With 3 different bikes in his fleet, he is a versatile traveller and enjoys cycling the approx. 15 km (one way). And if it's wet or colder than -5°C, he uses his electric car. The best thing about it? It does not only keep him fit and protect the environment, but he also collects ‘BONUS points’ for which our employees receive vouchers for certain campaigns. PS: The fact that he works for us as an energy management officer is ‘only’ a coincidence and is due to his affinity for technology. --------------------- 🇩🇪 Armin ist bei uns am Standort Schwandorf tätig und hat eine echte Leidenschaft zum Fahrradfahren. Sein bevorzugtes Transportmittel zur Arbeit -natürlich- das Fahrrad. Ob alleine mit dem Mountainbike oder zusammen mit Kolleg:innen mit dem Rennrad - er ist mit 3 verschiedenen Fahrrädern in seinem Fuhrpark vielseitig unterwegs und fährt die ca. 15 km (einfach) gerne mit dem Rad. Und ist es mal nass oder kälter als -5°C, dann reist er mit dem E-Auto an. Das Beste daran? Das hält ihn nicht nur fit und schont die Umwelt, sondern er sammelt dadurch auch fleißig "BONUS Punkte" für die unsere Mitarbeitenden bei bestimmten Aktionen Wertgutscheine erhalten. PS: Dass er bei uns als Energiemanagementbeauftragter arbeitet, ist aber "nur" Zufall und seiner Technikaffinität geschuldet.

As part of a project, the trainees designed benches for the school - from assembly to installation, everyone worked hard. Together with all the sponsors, there was a final meeting last week to celebrate the successful project. We hope you have lots of fun with the benches! 🇩🇪 Der Pausenhof der Regelschule in Ronneburg ist pünktlich zum neuen Schuljahr fertig! Bei einem Projekt gestalteten die Azubis Sitzbänke für die Schule - vom Zusammenbauen bis zum Aufstellen packten alle fleißig an. Gemeinsam mit allen Sponsoren gab es letzte Woche noch ein Abschlusstreffen, bei dem das erfolgreiche Projekt gefeiert wurde. Wir wünschen ganz viel Spaß mit den Bänken!

Oldtimer meets Brasilien Vintage car meets Brazil 🌍 International News from Germany 🌍 🇬🇧 This year, the destination of the vintage car friends from our region was the Sitzenhof - last week they visited with their 13 classic cars! Our Brazilian guests were also thrilled and couldn't get enough of the machines. After the spectacle, the vintage car friends were given a tour of the factory and a presentation by Michael Horsch. We are always delighted by the exciting groups that visit us at the Sitzenhof! 🇩🇪 Der Ausflug von Oldtimerfreunden aus unserer Region ging dieses Jahr zum Sitzenhof - letzte Woche waren sie mit ihren 13 Oldtimern zu Besuch! Auch unsere brasilianischen Gäste waren begeistert und konnten nicht genug von den Maschinen bekommen. Nach dem Spektakel gab es für die Oldtimerfreunde noch eine Werksführung und eine Präsentation von Michael Horsch. Wir freuen uns jedes Mal wieder über die spannenden Gruppen, die uns am Sitzenhof besuchen kommen!

Radieschen für alle Red radishes for everyone 🌍 International News from Germany 🌍 🌱 Deutsche Version unten 🌱 Red radishes were sown in our demo garden this year: Primarily for the CheckIn days during which the apprentices were introduced to agriculture. Using red radishes as an example, they learned what a plant needs to grow, how to cultivate the soil and seed and so on... Of course, the harvest was important, too! The apprentices harvested some of the red radishes directly, the rest is used in the company's own restaurant and our employees can harvest the rest for themselves. So everyone benefits from the red radishes! 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪 In unserem Demogarten wurden dieses Jahr Radieschen gesät: Primär für die CheckIn Tage, bei denen den Azubis Landwirtschaft nähergebracht wurde. Am Beispiel der Radieschen lernten sie, was eine Pflanze zum Wachsen braucht, wie die Bodenbearbeitung und die Aussaat erfolgt und so weiter... Die Ernte durfte natürlich nicht fehlen! Einen Teil haben die Azubis direkt geerntet, der andere wird im betriebseigenen Restaurant verwendet und den Rest können unsere Mitarbeitenden für sich selbst ernten. So hat jeder etwas von den Radieschen!

But that's not all - our intern sören from the product marketing team accompanied it for a week. On the road in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, he was responsible for the truck, for example, he took care of the assembly and disassembly and explained the trade fair objects on board. But that's not all because he also had the opportunity to talk to farmers from all over the world. “I found it particularly interesting to find out what moves them, what problems they have, for example with the omnipresent issue of climate change, and what solutions they are pursuing.” When do you get a chance like this again! 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪 Wie Ihr vielleicht wisst, ist unser HORSCH Truck aktuell wieder auf Roadshow. Aber nicht nur das - auch unser Praktikant Sören aus dem Produktmarketing war für eine Woche dabei. Unterwegs in Estland, Lettland und Litauen war er zuständig für den Truck. Er kümmerte sich z. B. um den Auf- und Abbau und das Erklären der Messeobjekte an Bord. Doch das ist noch nicht alles, denn er hatte auch die Möglichkeit, mit Landwirten aus aller Welt ins Gespräch zu kommen. "Besonders interessant fand ich zu erfahren, was diese bewegt, welche Probleme sie z.B. mit dem allgegenwärtigen Thema Klimawandel haben und welche Lösungsansätze sie dabei verfolgen." Wann bekommt man mal wieder so eine Chance!
