We are deeply honored and thankful for this visibility. The work continues. 5 partner high schools was just the start. Sending 30,000 CPS graduates and families to and through higher education is going to take all of us—from corporate partners to individual stakeholders. Round of applause to Pete Kadens, Janice Jackson, EdD, Ted Koenig, all our supporters, and most importantly, our current (and future!) Hope Scholars. https://lnkd.in/g8fUsr-n

Accessible education has always been the passion of Representative Jehan Gordon-Booth👏🏽 After serving as one of District 69's youngest school board members, she's dedicated her career to creating a supportive community for students. Her mission? To pass laws that advance educational opportunities for scholars all across the state. 📚 🏫 Thank you, Rep Gordon-Booth for working hard for Illinois Scholars and helping us in our mission to get those scholars a debt-free college experience. You are a true “certified” Chicago Hope Champion 💙 #LeadWithHope

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter with my internship at Akoya Capital, LLC. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked under the guidance of Matt Winkeljohn and Karen Scalise, whose mentorship has been invaluable. The entire team at Akoya Capital welcomed me warmly, creating an environment that felt like home from day one. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Akoya Capital for not only teaching me valuable skills but also showing what a supportive and inspiring workplace looks like. I also want to express my gratitude to Hope Chicago for their remarkable C.O.R.E. program, which made this opportunity possible. The skills and experiences gained during this internship will without a doubt shape my future strive. Thank you once again to everyone who has been a part of this journey. I look forward to carrying the lessons learned and the connections made as I continue to grow in my career. Sincerely grateful. 😊

Before he was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives, Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch , served on the Proviso Township High School Board of Education for 12 years. In 2018, Governor JB Pritzker appointed Welch to the committee responsible for state education policy. Talk about dedication to Illinois scholars 💪🏾🔥 Speaker Welch, thanks for being a “certified” Hope Chicago champion and helping us support Scholars in their debt-free higher ed journeys💙 #LeadWithHope
