Twynam is excited to announce our investment in Hoofprint Biome!
Enteric methane (methane released by livestock) accounts for 11-17% of global emissions. This will only grow as global meat and dairy consumption booms.
Hoofprint are developing a probiotic that releases enzymes in a cow’s stomach to cut methane emissions while also improving animal health, productivity and nutrition. By using a probiotic yeast, Hoofprint can offer a product that is scalable, affordable, and increases farm profitability.
We’re ‘bullish’ on Hoofprint Biome because their solution is long-lasting, unaffected by growers supply chain and they have the unique ability to rapidly iterate.
Feeding cows just a mouthful of Hoofprint’s probiotic yeast could help prevent methane emissions and decarbonise a big part of agriculture’s emissions.
