There's a good reason we're so excited about our newly renovated Equipment Yard...and we think you'll understand why if you watch this video. In the first few seconds you'll catch a glimpse of our old warehouse and administrative offices. Although it served us well for many decades, we were long overdue for an upgrade. We were very fortunate to have Mackenzie design us a new state-of-the-art space that will serve us well into the future. The redeveloped site significantly increased our storage space for equipment, dramatically improved our natural lighting, reduced our water usage with new plumbing fixtures and drought tolerant landscaping, improved and increased parking, and created designated spaces for our work trucks to turn around. We have a large training room and new meeting room that we're already putting to good use and we couldn't be happier with our new administrative offices. We now have the space and amenities we need to do our best work, and we couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. Thank you, Mackenzie!

We are very excited to share that Hoffman’s newly renovated Equipment Yard is open and we are now able to serve more clients, more efficiently than ever before. Our primary facility at the yard met the end of its useful life, so in 2019 we began Phase 1 of a complete replacement. The new state-of-the-art facility includes a brand-new warehouse, shop, administrative offices, conference/training rooms, and parking lots. We also installed several sustainability features, including a 100kw rooftop solar array (which is generating at least 70% of the facility’s power), water bottle filling stations, and off-site manufacturing capabilities. This project represents our company’s single largest investment - and we are proud that it’s in Portland, where Hoffman began, over 100 years ago. Hoffman Construction has been refurbishing, replacing, and repairing various building elements and systems in the Oregon State Capitol building for the last few years. We are making seismic upgrades and ADA improvements to the historic facility and safely conducting work while the capitol is occupied - with minimum disruption to the legislative calendar and ongoing operations. The past two weeks have been sentimental for us, as the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track & Field have taken place at the University of Oregon Hayward Field. It brought us back to 2020 when we finished rebuilding the Hayward Field, in partnership with SRG CannonDesign just in time for the 2020 Track & Field Olympic Team trials. When we set out to rebuild Hayward Field our goal was to create a world-class facility for track and field athletes and also provide fans with a phenomenal viewing experience. We wanted to provide incredible sight lines, comfortable seating, and the ability to be close to the competitors - to be a part of the intimacy of track and field events. We wanted to create the finest “theater” for track and field fans in the world, which we enclosed with an enormous open-air wood structure made from sustainable Oregon forest products. Our preconstruction specialists were engaged at every phase of the project to ensure the complex design was implemented perfectly. It was a challenging project and we had an ambitious timeline, but sitting in the stands four years later, we have to say all the hard work was well worth it. We wanted to share this video of our Project Superintendent, Mark Parsons, talking about the St. Helens High School renovation project. We recently finished Phase 1, which was completed while the campus was fully occupied and functioning. We're getting ready to kick off Phase 2, which will entail a complete remodel of the classrooms and improve safety by connecting Buildings A, B, and C with enclosed halls. At Hoffman, we deeply value community and are thrilled to be part of the St. Helens School District community. St. Helens High School excels in academics and career readiness, earning a reputation for being courageous, dedicated, and prepared. Their Renovation and Remodeling Building Construction program offers students hands-on experience working directly with contractors, which is a program we fully support. We're hiring an Electrical Construction Manager for our hi-tech project in Kiryat Gat, Israel. This position will work closely with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and craftspeople to address complex electrical coordination issues. They will manage the Electrical Team and lead our onsite electrical quality control efforts, which will include document review during preconstruction through commissioning and punch list. Today we hosted our inaugural Hoffman Blueprints for Success Day. We invited all of our summer interns, from all our U.S. project locations, to our corporate main office and spent the day sharing information about our company culture, history, operations, and employees. There are 28 interns from 15 universities here with us today. These students will be spending their summer working at projects in five different states: Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Idaho, and California. This eager group of students heard from a wide array of Hoffman employees and received presentations from Safety, Quality, Scheduling, Building Information Modeling, and more. They got to meet some of our executive leadership team, heard many stories, and got to see 3-D models of some of our construction projects. There are many different ways to enter the construction industry, a summer internship is just one. But we think it's a powerful one. Welcome to Hoffman, interns!
