We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Affholder, LLC for their remarkable work on the Jefferson Barracks Tunnel Project, which has been rightfully recognized with the prestigious Tunnel Achievement Award and featured as the cover story in this month’s TBM: Tunnel Business Magazine. The Jefferson Barracks Tunnel, a project spanning 17,800 feet (3.37 miles) parallel to the Mississippi River, stands as a testament to engineering excellence and innovative problem-solving. Lined with 7-foot Hobas fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar pressure pipe, this tunnel navigated the complexities of river bluff karst, a porous limestone riddled with caves and sinkholes. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this project a standout success! We invite you to read the full article and explore this month’s TBM Magazine issue here: https://lnkd.in/guUgZ2MZ

Hobas Pipe and our sister company, O-Tek, came together for a special Colloquium focused on team building, planning and leadership development. This event showcased the combined strength of our two companies, creating the largest FRP/GRP company focused on clean water infrastructure providing life, and wastewater infrastructure providing dignity. Our vision for the Americas is to provide peace of mind for future generations through safe and reliable infrastructure.  None of us can afford to continue replacing infrastructure over and over.  Let’s fix it once and for all so that funds can be redirected to other critical needs like health, wellness, mental health and other important investments needed to improve our way of life. We would also like to thank Jorda Partners and Mike Goodfriend for supporting us on our journey and developing an effective program. Here's to a future of lasting, durable solutions and improved quality of life for all!

We are thrilled to congratulate our friends and colleagues at Freese and Nichols on their achievement! The DWU Glendale Park Emergency Replacement Project, for which Hobas Pipe was proud to contribute, has been awarded the ASCE/UESI 2024 Project of the Year. This prestigious award was presented today at the 2024 Pipelines conference in Calgary. Faced with the challenging task of replacing a failing 54-inch interceptor sewer in Glendale Park, the innovative team at Freese and Nichols, led by Mike Hagen, developed a groundbreaking solution. By designing two parallel fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar (FRPM) semi-elliptical arch pipes, they successfully addressed the spatial and flow capacity constraints, ensuring the project’s success. Congratulations to Freese and Nichols and the entire project team for their ingenuity and dedication. We are proud to have been part of this exceptional project. . . .
