Meet Nicole Bathurst, director, Underwriting. “I’ve been with HM Insurance Group for more than 20 years, and interacting with my team is the best part of my job. If you’re considering a career in underwriting, my advice is to focus on understanding the basics and familiarizing yourself with key concepts. Before diving into underwriting, it is essential to grasp what Stop Loss insurance entails to ensure you have a solid foundation for your underwriting responsibilities.” Nicole leads the development, execution and monitoring of Stop Loss pricing and related strategies for HM Insurance Group’s business in our Philadelphia, New England and Washington, D.C., sales territories. She joined our company in 2003 as a new business and renewal representative and has held underwriting roles of increasing responsibility over the years. Our Houston Regional Sales Office was proud to sponsor and attend an inaugural blood drive hosted by one of our national producer partners. The collective efforts raised $12,335 for MD Anderson Cancer Research, and the lifechanging blood donations will help 143 cancer patients. The event showcased the power of community and the incredible impact we can make when we come together.
