Is "uh-huh" enough? 🤔 Let’s explore the art of active listening in customer service. ➡ Put away distractions: Make eye contact (if on a video call) and focus solely on the customer. ➡ Pay attention to verbal and nonverbal cues: Listen to the words, tone, hesitations, and body language. ➡ Engage with them: Briefly restate what you’ve heard to ensure understanding and show your engagement. ➡ Don't assume you know what they need: Open-ended questions like "Can you tell me more about that?" encourage them to elaborate. ➡ Acknowledge their emotions: Let them know you understand their frustration or disappointment.
