Last week, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of Hitt Hall, a 100,000-square-foot multipurpose building at Virginia Tech Myers-Lawson School of Construction, officially named in honor of our Chairman Emeritus Russell Hitt. This cutting-edge facility will elevate the educational experience and continue Russell’s legacy of innovation in construction. 🏢 What to Expect: • Expanded spaces for the Myers-Lawson School of Construction, fostering innovation and discovery. • A state-of-the-art 600-seat dining facility with nine distinct venues to enhance campus dining services. • Flexible classrooms, open collaboration zones, and a two-story Innovation Lab for large-scale student projects. • Energy-efficient systems, water conservation features, and environmentally responsible building materials, setting a new standard in sustainable design. The community spirit of Virginia Tech is invigorating, and will continue to become bigger and better, pushing boundaries in research and development to disrupt the industry and change how we build. HITT Co-Chairman Brett Hitt hopes to continue helping improve the learning experience for all students and announced the launch of the Russell Hitt Memorial Scholarship Fund, ensuring all students have equal access to the terrific education at Virginia Tech. Our Atlanta team has officially completed the corporate interiors project for Murata Manufacturing, transforming 50,045 square feet of workspace with high-end finishes and strategic upgrades. With nearly 35,000 hours worked across all trades, this project showcased our commitment to precision and innovation. One of the standout challenges? Installing a custom stair—while seemingly straightforward—required close collaboration with designers and structural engineers to ensure it seamlessly integrated with the surrounding structure and honored the architect’s vision. Beyond that, our team delivered essential upgrades to mechanical and plumbing systems, plus added a CRAC unit for Murata’s IT/Server Room.
