Hispanic Federation celebrated our 7 years of working for and with Puerto Rico at our recent Fiesta Benéfica. We are immensely grateful to everyone who has supported and collaborated with us over the years, and would like to especially thank the generous sponsors of this year's Fiesta Benéfica. We also want to recognize our two honorees: Alberto de la Cruz, for his years of support and commitment to Hispanic Federation and our causes, and our member agency, Profamilias Puerto Rico, for 70 years of uplifting reproductive justice and defending our right to choose. In honor of #HispanicHeritageMonth, Frankie Miranda, President and CEO of Hispanic Federation, addressed the Latino Unidos ERG team at Healthfirst. He emphasized the importance of voter turnout and shared insights from the Latino Voter Poll 2024. Key findings highlighted concerns such as inflation, cost of living, and jobs.  The panel also featured co-chairs Zoila Celeste Nuñez and Martin Morales, along with Miguel Centeno, VP of Community Engagement and a member of the Healthfirst Board.

We are still processing the significant damage wrought by Hurricane Helene, particularly in hard-to-reach communities whose homes and livelihoods were upended by the disaster.
