We are reflecting on an incredible 2024 AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) annual convention packed with memorable moments, energizing conversations and exciting announcements from the Hill’s Pet Nutrition team. We had the pleasure of sponsoring an inspiring keynote presentation delivered by the spectacular Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Following that, we hosted attendees at our booth to discuss our latest innovations in pet nutrition. New this year, we launched our corporate partnership with The Street Dog Coalition at the convention, furthering the organization’s One Health approach that recognizes the interconnection between people, animals, plants and the shared environment. The new legacy-level partnership kicked off at a special Street Dog Coalition pop-up veterinary clinic in Austin where many Hill’s employees participated as volunteers. The Hill’s team showed up in many other places and spaces, including events with our partners, Pride VMC and CF Vet For A Day, reinforcing our commitment to increasing diversity in the profession. We look forward to seeing everyone again in D.C. next year! #AVMA2024 

Last fall, when we embarked on a new chapter in Hill's Pet Nutrition's history with the opening of our newest SMART manufacturing facility in Kansas, we cemented our place as a part of the Tonganoxie community. Today, an important milestone in community development was met with the groundbreaking of the Hill's Pet Nutrition Bark Park in Tonganoxie. In collaboration with the Tonganoxie Recreation Commission, this project will become a vibrant hub for residents and their beloved four-legged companions. "At Hill's Pet Nutrition, we believe in the power of community and giving back to the places we call home," said Chad Sharp, director of manufacturing at Hill's Pet Nutrition - Tonganoxie. "Supporting the development of the Hill's Pet Nutrition Bark Park in Tonganoxie is a testament to our commitment to fostering a vibrant, healthy community. We are proud to partner with the TRC on this exciting initiative and look forward to residents and their pets enjoying this fantastic new space for years to come." The dog park, funded by Hill's and supported by the TRC, will be completed by fall 2024. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to impact our communities positively!

Hill’s Pet Nutrition and members of our professional veterinary affairs (PVA) team were proud to sponsor the recent New Grad Program at the Emerald Coast Veterinary Conference (#ECVC) in Florida. Hill’s team members presented CE courses to recent veterinary school graduates covering a number of topics, from nutrition and care for critical patients to managing specific disease states. This is one of many examples of our PVA team in action as they continue to connect with and provide education to veterinary professionals and students across the country.

Today is World Microbiome Day! 🦠 We celebrate the incredible world of microbiomes and their profound impact on pet and human health, the environment, and overall well-being. Hill's Pet Nutrition has invested in pet microbiome research for over 10 years. Continued understanding of the microbiome may reveal how nutrition can positively impact a pet's health. We are proud of our partnership with Dr. Curtis Huttenhower and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to make the first One Health Microbiome Resource available to the scientific community. We are proud to be at the forefront of this exciting work, working to improve pet and human lives through our research and innovations.

As a Caring company, we are on a mission to help create a healthier and happier future for people and their pets, which is why in partnership Colgate-Palmolive, we are proud to announce a partnership with The Street Dog Coalition to support both ends of the leash. The Street Dog Coalition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free veterinary care and related services to pet parents experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Our new joint partnership will help provide essential oral health and hygiene products and Hill's pet food to communities across the country. Our partnership kicked off at a special pop-up veterinary clinic held last week in conjunction with the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) Convention in Austin, Texas, where the organization debuted a new RV, which will be used to help reach to rural communities that have little to no access to veterinary care facilities. https://lnkd.in/g2H4Vjbn
