Highline Warren supports Women in Auto Care and its mission to uplift women in the automotive industry. Women in Auto Care is an Auto Care Association community that offers training, networking opportunities, scholarships and more. One scholarship that we're particularly excited to support provides tool kits to aspiring female mechanics—an especially important initiative because less than 3% of automotive mechanics are women. Jessica Toliuszis, our vice president of major accounts, is one of several Highline Warren teammates involved with Women in Auto Care. Recently, she joined other Women in Auto Care members to pack tool kits for 40 scholarship winners. These tool kits, containing high-quality tools from Highline Warren, NAPA Auto Parts and other partners, help women entering the field overcome the barrier of purchasing tools. We're proud to ship an average of 1.5 million products each day. Keith Thorpe senior transportation manager at Highline Warren, helps keep all of our inbound and outbound shipments on track. Every day looks a little different for Keith, as his team oversees deliveries ranging from ground transportation to import ocean containers, air freight, rail and beyond. Keith starts each day by gathering his team in Memphis, Tenn. to discuss any pressing matters and items needing immediate attention. This huddle is imperative because Keith and his team work with nearly every other team in the company to balance immediate issues with long-term planning. From there, each day is a mix of problem solving and strategy. Trucks break down, deliveries go awry and hiccups happen, but Keith and his team practice effective communication and ensure issues are resolved quickly. Ultimately, it’s all about providing outstanding customer service and delivering shipments on time. When he’s not working, Keith enjoys playing golf and serving as deacon in his church. He even recently volunteered for a charity event for Habitat for Humanity where he was in the dunk tank in a full suit and tie! He and his family are also avid travelers and love to see the world. At Highline Warren, oil is in our DNA, and the business is thriving. Three of our oil experts recently shared insights into our growing oil business. Kristin Frogge, category management director for oil, lube and refrigerant, explained that having a combined focus on manufacturing and distributing oil makes Highline Warren unique. “There aren’t others that play in both spaces like we do,” Kristin said. “It’s a value proposition for our customers because they’re able to mix and match branded products and private label products.” Tim Weeda, vice president of sales for lubricants, emphasized our unique value. “Without our plants and processes, we wouldn’t have the ability to sell the oil and go to market the way we do,” he said. “We continue to win in the marketplace, and we reinvest in the business on a regular basis—in our plants and our people.” Oil is a big part of our business; each customer represents a relationship. Our scale, service and solutions allow these relationships to thrive. Kristin said, “Customers and vendors are seeing how they can partner with Highline Warren on all things oil—distribution, manufacturing and sourcing solutions.” “Highline Warren is recognized as a leader and role model in the industry because of the quality and consistency, and the reputation we’ve built over the years,” Tim said. Buckle up! We’re taking a trip down memory lane to explore the history of Highline Warren—a journey spanning over a century of innovation, perseverance and people. It all began in the roaring 1920s. Levin’s Auto Supply, Warren Distribution and Twin City Boot Company (later, Twinco Romax) formed, laying the groundwork for what would become Highline Warren, each playing a pivotal role in shaping the automotive landscape. As the years rolled on, our earliest legacy companies grew throughout the 1930s and ’40s while several more formed to fill needs during the automobile boom of the 1950s. Throughout it all, we’ve remained at the forefront of innovation, constantly adapting to meet the needs of our customers. After consolidations in the 1990s and early 2000s, the Sterling Group acquired both DYK and AAHC to create Highline Aftermarket, expanding our distribution footprint and manufacturing capabilities overnight. In 2020, Pritzker Private Capital united Highline Aftermarket and Warren Distribution, cementing our position as a leading national manufacturer and distributor in the automotive aftermarket. But our success isn’t measured in years alone—it’s a testament to the countless individuals who’ve poured their hearts and souls into making Highline Warren what it is today. Our journey is far from over. Our commitment to people powered performance remains unwavering as we look to the future. At Highline Warren, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s a way of life. Milwaukee plant manager Michelle Terwilliger and her team embody this commitment every day. In honor of National Safety Month, Michelle organized a safety scavenger hunt to make safety training more fun and effective. Each week, teammates searched for essential safety items like fire extinguishers and first aid kits. Then, they submitted photos for a chance to win prizes. This initiative not only increased safety awareness but also strengthened team spirit. Michelle believes in the importance of safety standards and all teammates’ well-being and safety. “Knowing the locations of vital safety items is essential. Safe teammates are happy teammates, and happy teammates ultimately lead to happy customers,” she says. Highline Warren teammates focus on safety each day to take care of one another and better serve our customers.
