"Businesses and leaders need not cease focusing on business growth and profitability. Rather they might view valuing and developing people and empowering them to enhance their own wellbeing as a noble gateway to both. This starts with culture and enacting the values that we preach. Self-care and self-compassion are core leadership skills not just to prevent individual burnout, but also to build a culture of genuine caring of people that humanises work again." https://lnkd.in/eeUAmR8H

#spotted 👀 This week Charles is at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families - IVMF's #EBVSU24 learning from some of the best business minds and leaders from across the country and across industries.
Day Three for our #EBVSU24 participants at Syracuse University's National Veteran Resource Center. Eric M Alderman started the day off with a class on the logic of profit. Our veteran entrepreneurs then had their first of several venture pitching classes with Robby Riggs, at the end of the week they'll deliver their refined business pitches to a panel of judges in a class-wide pitch competition. They also learned about supply chain logistics from Patrick C. Penfield, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Practice and Director of Executive Education at the Syracuse University - Martin J.
