About us
The University at Buffalo Human Factors chapter is one of the oldest student chapters of human factors engineers. Established over two decades ago, our chapter is committed to fostering a vibrant community at the University at Buffalo, advocating for the diverse interests of our members. Our members come from various backgrounds, including industrial engineering, psychology, anthropology, occupational therapy, cognitive science, and mechanical engineering, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. At our core, we are a dynamic collective of students devoted to human factors engineering and ergonomics. Through a plethora of events ranging from coffee chats to spirited dinners, and from social outings like bowling nights to impactful partnerships with other universities, we endeavor to enrich the academic journey of our members. Additionally, we host speaker sessions featuring experts in the field and thought-provoking panel discussions that delve into current topics and trends in human factors engineering, providing invaluable insights and networking opportunities for our members.
