Excited to share that data from our Human-on-a-Chip model played a key role in supporting the authorization of Dianthus Therapeutics, Inc.'s Phase II clinical trial for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG). This is an important step forward for patients and marks another example of the continued regulatory adoption of microphysiological systems in drug discovery. The Human-on-a-Chip Company
About us
Hesperos, Inc. is accelerating drug discovery by providing safety and efficacy testing of chemicals and novel therapeutics for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries using its patented, Human-on-a-Chip platform. Bringing together biologists, surface chemists, and engineers, our team is producing some of the world's most advanced organs-on-a-chip platforms. From gene expression to electrophysiology, we recreate key components of organs in an interconnected, functional system. Chemically patterned microchips enable real-time, non-invasive monitoring of organ function where we use sophisticated measurement techniques to detect minute changes. This breakthrough technology enables unprecedented visibility into specific disease states and how the human body will respond to treatment - something that previously required costly animal testing and human trials to determine. The functional, interconnected, human in vitro platform, provides preclinical insight into the efficacy and toxicity of novel therapeutics. Ultimately, Hesperos’ Human-on-a-Chip is reducing the need for animal testing in drug discovery while enabling research into rare diseases previously considered untreatable.

September is World Alzheimer's Month, organized by Alzheimer's Disease International, a time to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and dementias that affect millions worldwide. Our incredible team has long been dedicated to developing advanced, in vitro models to better understand Alzheimer's, dementias, and other neurological disorders, with the goal of accelerating therapeutic development. This includes multiple grant programs sponsored by the National Institute on Aging that have helped establish a functional, human-cell-based platform for Alzheimer's research and investigate genetic risk factors for the disease, among others. Grateful for our team, and others around the world, for their relentless pursuit of breakthroughs in this critical area. Exciting news! Research teams from Hesperos and University of Central Florida have published a study in the Alzheimer's Association®'s journal: Alzheimer's & Dementia. The study uses a functional, Human-on-a-Chip® model to explore the role of senescence in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) progression. This marks a significant step forward by providing researchers with a platform poised to accelerate development of therapeutics for AD and other neurological disorders. We extend a big thank you to National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) and National Institute on Aging (NIA) for their ongoing support in this critical area. A few weeks ago, our team had an amazing time at the MPS World Summit in Seattle! We are proud to have delivered 7 presentations and 10 posters. It was really exciting to see the progress and impact that microphysiological systems are having on therapeutic development overall. Thank you to the organizers for putting on such a great event. We’re already looking forward to next year in Brussels! #MPS2024 #HumanOnAChip #microphysiologicalsystems
