125 years ago today, Fritz Henkel acquired a piece of land in #Düsseldorf-Holthausen, thereby laying the cornerstone for Henkel’s #HQ. Since then, our site has been constantly evolving to create the best possible environment for innovation, creativity, collaboration, and growth. Today, it covers an area of 1.4 square kilometers with 370 buildings, three kindergartens, and dining facilities for our 6,000 employees, making it the largest Henkel site worldwide. ✨

Secrets and stories from the world of sports! I had the pleasure to welcome the German sports commentator Marcel Reif to one of my #CarstenMeets sessions. Let me share my key takeaways: 🔺 A team of only superstars won’t win anything. Whether in sport or business, a team needs a mix and balance of different personalities and strengths to succeed. 🔺 A high-performing team needs lightness and clarity. 🔺 It’s just football. We need to let sports be sports again, without over-socializing it. Sometimes it should just be about enjoying the game. Maybe we need to get out of our heads and share in the excitement. 🔺 In society, we need to regain our ability to have a balanced debate and find common ground. And of course, we had to dive into #football, hoping for some secrets or anecdotes from the sports world. Henkel publishes preliminary figures for the first half of 2024: After a very strong business performance in first half of 2024, Henkel raises its full-year earnings outlook. Based on preliminary figures, Henkel generated sales of around 10.8 billion euros. As in particular the adjusted return on sales and adjusted earnings per share exceeded market expectations, we raise our full-year earnings outlook: The adjusted EBIT margin rose to 14.9 percent, adjusted earnings per preferred share amounted to 2.78 euros in the first half of 2024 ( 32.9 percent at constant exchange rates).
