Once again the scientists at Song Biotechnologies did a fantastic job with the latest peer-reviewed and published paper related to testing Hemotek's Ox66® (powdered oxygen), as a therapeutic for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). For those unfamiliar, Ox66® is an ingestible, solid-state form of oxygen designed to supplement oxygen deficits. This important research showed: “Despite ventilation and hyperoxic therapies, undetected hypoxia can manifest in capillary beds leading to multi-organ failure." Testing showed not only does Ox66® deliver oxygen, but reduces inflammatory signaling with no evidence of toxicity or significant increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS)." Overall results: "Ox66® can deliver therapeutically-impactful levels of oxygen in situations of pulmonary dysfunction.” - especially important when low O2 levels are undetectable and/or the respiratory system is compromised.
