In addition to remarkable developments in LLMs and gen AI, we at Neotribe Ventures have the honor of working with visionary founders building vertical solutions using AI to improve day-to-day for people. One such founder is Ophir Tanz, and his newest company, Pearl, the global leader in dental AI. A repeat founder and longtime friend of Neotribe and Swaroop Kolluri, we’ve known Ophir since Kittu invested in his last company. Through this relationship and our longtime partnership with Ophir, it was clear that we’d want to support him with his newest venture, too. We’re excited to participate in Pearl’s $58M Series B through our growth fund, Ignite, as they continue to elevate patient care in dentistry through cutting-edge computer vision technology, worldwide regulatory authorizations, and new AI tools to improve patient treatment planning, insurance claim approvals and dental education. Ophir’s deep expertise in computer vision and AI, paired with his strength as an operator makes him uniquely suited to build Pearl, with its ambitious mission. Central to that mission is Second Opinion, Pearl’s flagship product. Built on a uniquely powerful computer vision platform, it can instantly and reliably identify and measure a comprehensive array of pathologies, restorations, and anatomy in dental x-rays. This technology allows dentists to diagnose more accurately and consistently compared to existing solutions across a variety of prognosis. Additionally, it allows dentists a visual aid to use with patients to help them understand their care path, which increases adherence.
