Ever considered overhauling your diet overnight? It might make more sense to start small, according to science. "Incorporating heart-healthy foods into your diet gradually is more sustainable than attempting drastic changes," Dr. Edo Paz, SVP, Medical Affairs at Hello Heart tells Best Life. "No single food will solve everything; it's more important to take consistent, small steps to build heart-healthy habits. That includes walking a bit more each day and checking your blood pressure more often, too. Together, these small steps can make a big difference." Hard-working people have hard-working hearts. ❤️ That’s why one 18,000-member union of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) offered Hello Heart as a health benefit. This not only helped the workers lead healthier lives, but also helped the labor union avoid costly health expenses and save $1,935 per person. 💰 https://hubs.ly/Q02G6z0Q0 #IBEW #unionmembers #laborunion #electricalunion #ulasupporters #healtyheart

Nearly half of counties in the United States don't have a single cardiologist, according to a new study in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. We believe digital health tools are the most effective and scalable way to bridge the urban-rural divide and help people everywhere take care of their hearts. And we're working every day to do just that. Last year, we published peer-reviewed research that found equitable outcomes for Hello Heart users regardless of their location or distance to a healthcare facility. Check out the findings here: https://lnkd.in/gmYGfRZX And read more about the JACC study here in NBC News: https://lnkd.in/eVweqJiF #RuralHealth #DigitalHealth #HeartHealth
