📱Helium Wallet v2.8.4 Update! The v2.8.4 release fixes a bug that prevented some Hotspot owners from onboarding or updating their Hotspot when using apps like the Helium Mobile Builder. HIP 129 Passed: MOBILE Carrier Beta ✅ HIP 129 has been approved by the community! With the passage of HIP 129, all MOBILE Hotspots will be automatically eligible to participate in the carrier offloading beta. Helium Mobile, as the manufacturer of the Hotspots has turned this on for all Hotspots as of 8/15/24. Inclusion in any carrier's beta is at the discretion of the carrier. Crypto is incredibly powerful at capital formation and social coordination. It can bring to market a cheaper, higher-quality product compared to today's public and private companies especially in sectors with high startup costs. Next time people say that crypto has no use cases beyond speculation, show them these real-world use cases to change their mind.

HIP 128: ENERGY Subnetwork⚡🔥🎈 Vote now on HIP 128! A proposal that establishes the ENERGY Subnetwork within the Helium ecosystem. This proposal outlines an economic framework to integrate decentralized energy resources, such as solar power production and battery storage, as a subnetwork, giving the community access to participate in the energy market.
 It’s important to note that if HIP 128 passes, it will set the foundation for the economic structure of the ENERGY Subnetwork. However, this does not mean the ENERGY token will be immediately available as an incentive. Ownership of a compatible distributed energy resource will be required to participate directly in the network. As this proposal sets the economic framework, ENERGY would require another launch vote similar to HIP 77. ENERGY aims to increase the addressable market of the overall Network, offer new utility for Hotspots, and increase token utility. 🗳️ Vote for this proposal if you support the economic framework, or vote against if you believe further changes are needed.

📱Helium Wallet v2.8.3, minor bug fixes to make your wallet experience better! The v2.8.3 release introduces a more compact user experience for transaction confirmation. It also addresses several community-reported bugs including ones in the in-app browser that prevented connecting to apps like Jupiter and some reported issues around HNT delegation. HIP 129: MOBILE Carrier Beta This Helium Improvement Proposal (HIP) formally introduces 'Beta Carrier'. It proposes that all MOBILE Wi-Fi Hotspots be automatically opted-in, by default, to service Beta Carrier subscribers, with an option for operators to opt-out at any time. Currently, Hotspot firmware must be configured in such a way that the operator has to deliberately enable the handling of unrewarded traffic, which might involve additional steps or settings. If this proposal passes, it will eliminate this requirement, allowing Hotspots to handle all types of traffic without needing operators to take extra actions to enable it. 🗳️Vote for this proposal if you support this change or against it if you do not.
