Delighted to announce the appointment of Adhiraj Maitra to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer at Helios Underwriting PLC. Mr Maitra (BSc, MSc, Actuary) joins Helios from Canopius where he is the Group Head of Sustainability. Over his 17 year career, Mr Maitra has had experience across a breadth of technical and leadership roles including 5 years as a Senior Manager with Lloyd’s capital and planning, and 4 years with Willis Towers Watson leading the capital and risk initiatives in the London Market and as Global Head of Climate Change and ESG. Martin Reith, CEO, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Adhiraj to Helios. His experience and London market focus across underwriting, distribution, capital, risk and ESG makes him an ideal fit to help build Helios’ presence and to continue to manage and curate our outstanding portfolio.
