Check out this recent pour from our Western Ontario Concrete team. Not just a regular pour, the team partnered with Cor-Tuf UHPC materials to deliver Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) from a ready-mix truck for the first time in Ontario. From production to logistics, the 120 cubic meters (157 cubic yards) UHPC pour for a footing and slab on grade was well executed. To top it off, the four-day compressive strengths exceeded 118 MPA (>17,000 psi). It was great to be part of this innovative materials pour! #UHPC David Eves Michael Halavonja

On a recent project for the Alabama DOT, Grout Inc. had just ten days to replace an asphalt road with concrete paving and have it reach specified strength before traffic could be allowed to return. Having heard of the Giatec SmartRock® sensors, the team reached out to Heidelberg Materials to see if this could be the solution they needed. The SmartRock® maturity sensors provide real-time data on concrete curing and strength, enabling contractors to make informed decisions and meet project milestones faster. Heidelberg Materials rushed to get these sensors into the team's hands while Grout got the use of the technology approved by the Alabama DOT. Using the SmartRock® app, the Grout team was able to monitor concrete strength in real-time. Their placed concrete was able to reach early-strength in six hours, allowing the team to move to the next steps and reopen roads to traffic in half the expected time and achieve an early completion bonus. Don't let scheduling constraints hinder your progress - contact us today to learn how SmartRock® maturity sensors can seamlessly integrate into your next project. https://giatec.net/UK
