At our recent event in San Diego, which he held in conjunction with our sister company, Senior Living News, five panels were presented. The topics ranged from solving staffing challenges to preventing dementia to empowering tomorrow's leaders. One of those panels discussed marketing to seniors who have no intention of ever moving into a senior-living community. The panelists were Eric Benson of Anthology Senior Living; Dawn Marie Johnson of Wingate Living; TSOLife's Joe Leonard; Mark Prifogle, FACHCA from BHI Senior Living; and Watermark Retirement Communities' Bryan Schachter. These professionals all passed along some very actionable ideas and success stories, and if you're curious how some of them "weaponize residents," click below.

At HEALTHTAC's/Senior Living News' recent event in San Diego, we presented five panels on various topics that are relevant to the senior-living profession. The third of those five panels shed some light on dementia, thanks to panelists Brian Browne of Cognitive Care Management, Verna Chisman of ALLURE & WELLNESS MANAGEMENT SERVICES, LLC, and Sonya Paterno of Oakmont Senior Living/Oakmont Management Group Llc. A couple of things they touched on are the fact that dementia is preventable and that Medicare has a new program called GUIDE that is designed to help keep dementia patients in IL and AL longer. “Everyone in attendance had a clear presence of mind in their field that made every interaction worthwhile. I found myself increasingly more curious by the hour, not just by the day. Each individual I spoke with came to the meeting with a business initiative or with specific intentions to learn more about industry specific challenges they could contribute to or resolve through connecting with others. It was impressive to witness.” Laura Willingham, the COO at Milestone Retirement Communities, spoke on a panel at our recent executive event in San Diego. The paragraph above was one of many incredible things that Laura said in an in-depth email she sent praising the event. The entire HEALTHTAC - Senior Living Events company is buzzing over Laura's email. If you're invited to a HEALTHTAC executive event, remember Laura's comment above and also this one, which she included her email as well: “The only question I have about future meetings is how I am going to ensure a balanced rotation of leaders from Milestone attend HealthTac events while squeezing a few more myself!” Caryl Ridgeway Cayden Ridgeway Chad Bonsell
