Team Elmet in Euclid had an amazing holiday luncheon and party. Senior leaders in Euclid were the servers. A great time was had by all! Take note of the Michigan Wolverines flag hanging in the background of a few photos. The result of a lost bet by the Euclid team. Annually, Ohio State plays Michigan in "The Game." The bet was that the loser of the game had to display the winner's flag in the lunchroom until the end of the year. As you can see, the team in Euclid begrudgingly hung the Michigan flag upside down. All in good fun! #teamelmet | #euclid | #holidayspirit

🎄🎉 The holiday celebrations continue! 🎄🎉 Today in Coldwater, we celebrated the holiday season with some fun activities for all - a wonderful lunch together, new backpacks for employees, and a few gift card raffles! We also sponsored a best dressed “Holiday Style” contest, with employees wearing a variety of holiday gear. After voting on who the team thought was “best dressed” for the holidays, Steve Wood won a $25 gift card for his wonderful holiday sweater! Check out the Christmas tree decorated by our Shift Coordinator, Jen Scare (and her elves)! Take note of the special “tinsel” hanging on the tree. We're excited to continue our celebrations - it has been a great year, and we look forward to ending it on a high note! #teamelmet | #coldwater | #holidayseason2023 | #holidayparty

🎁🎄'Tis the season of giving 🎄🎁 Team Elmet in Coldwater donated kitchen supplies and household goods to the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence’s Naomi Davis Shelterhouse. The Naomi Davis Shelterhouse offers emergency shelter, a safe haven space, and advocacy and support services to men, women, and children who are survivors of domestic and/or sexual assault violence. In addition, they offer 24-hour hotline crisis intervention services. Through donations and fundraising, the BCCADSV provides stable, clean, and safe environments to allow those impacted to make a fresh start toward their success as a survivor. Coats, hats, and gloves were also donated to the Coach Eby Youth & Family Center. Every year, they offer Coats for Kids which aims to provide warm clothing to families in need within our community. This program relies on donations of new and gently used winter outerwear of all sizes to make sure everyone has what they need in order to withstand the cold weather. In addition, they offer a variety of services with the goal “to bring hope, education, recreation, and inspiration to youth and families of Branch County.” They also open up their facility during frigid temperatures by offering a warming center for those in need. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church also offers a location where scarves, hats, gloves, and coats can be donated. Those in need have 24/7 access and may take or leave any items hanging on the outside fence. All in all, over $2,000 was donated to these organizations within our community! #teamelmet | #coldwater | #communityinvolvement

Elmet Technologies Announces Acquisition of H.C. Starck Solutions Americas Lewiston, Maine, USA – Elmet Technologies, the only fully integrated, U.S. owned and operated tungsten and molybdenum manufacturer, today announces the successful closing of its acquisition of H.C. Starck Solutions Americas, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of the technology metals tungsten and molybdenum and related alloys. Elmet is part of the Anania & Associates Investment Company (AAI) portfolio, a Maine-based U.S. manufacturing-focused holding company. The acquisition creates the largest U.S. owned producer of tungsten and molybdenum materials and products, with nearly 400 employees across three facilities in Maine, Ohio, and Michigan. “Unifying our companies provides customers in defense, aerospace, medical, industrial furnaces, semiconductor, and other industries access to a single supplier with a more comprehensive portfolio of products and capabilities. Our organization now provides a combined 200 years of best practices for increased supply-chain efficiency and resilience as well as improved quality, capability, and innovation. The consolidated portfolio now includes a breadth of capabilities and products from the largest extrusion press for refractory metals to fine wire thinner than a human hair. Combined rolling mill capabilities will increase overall capacity and provide shorter lead times to support the largest and most complex projects,” said Peter Anania, Chairman at AAI and Elmet CEO. The combined company will continue to manufacture and supply all of its existing product lines, such as foil, sheet, plate, rod, blocks, bars, powder, cubes, spheres, and more. “We also anticipate the development of new advanced materials, components, and solutions as a result of our increased capabilities and combined resources and expertise,” said Scott Knoll, Partner at AAI and Head of M&A and Strategy at Elmet. “To support that innovation, we have immediate plans to invest in expanding our workforce and manufacturing capabilities at all three of our U.S. sites. These future investments will build on the success of recent investments across the group including state-of-the-art tungsten sphere and cube fragmentation production in Lewiston, spray dried and plasma densified additive manufacturing powders and 3D processing in Coldwater and new tungsten plate rolling technology in Euclid, Ohio. This combination will help ensure Made-in-the-USA continues in the tungsten and molybdenum sector for the next 100 years and beyond.” Learn more about Elmet Technologies: www.elmettechnologies.com Learn more about H.C.
