When Baby Denver got to 24 weeks, she decided it was time to see the world. And now we are celebrating her 100-day graduation from the NICU at The Women’s Hospital at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital! We are so thrilled for mom Deondra and dad Domonick, and honored to help them bring Denver home. During her 100-day stay at Henrico Doctors', Denver has grown stronger and dazzled everyone with her charming smile. We thank everyone from Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, part of Henrico, Parham & Retreat Doctors' Hospitals and HCA Virginia Health System, including our neonatologists, speech and occupational therapists, respiratory therapists and the wonderful team of nurses for their excellent work! Please join us in wishing Denver, Deondra and Domonick a happy homecoming! #HealthierTomorrows #CareLikeFamily

24 years ago, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital was one of only five U.S. hospitals the FDA approved for use of our nation’s first robotic surgery system for general laparoscopic surgery. Following that FDA approval, in 2002, Dr. William Kelley Jr., of Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, became the first physician in this nation to successfully complete a robotic-assisted surgery. This month, Ralph Layman, MD, FACS, who serves as the director of Trauma Surgery and Kidney Transplant with Henrico, Parham & Retreat Doctors' Hospitals, performed his 1000th robotic-assisted surgery! Colleagues, working alongside Dr. Layman celebrated this incredible milestone knowing how many lives have been touched by this technology and care. Join us in congratulating Dr. Layman and the team! Our colleagues are deeply committed to learning, serving, and leading in our communities. We show up every day striving to produce healthier communities that lead to healthier tomorrows. We recently rolled up our sleeves and weathered the heat to volunteer at Shalom Farms to help provide healthy food to those who need it in our community. Shalom Farms is a nonprofit farm and food justice organization working for an equitable food system in Richmond, VA. With two production farms, dozens of partners, and innovative food access programs, Shalom Farms grows and distributes over 600,000 servings of certified naturally grown produce. Check out the photos to see our colleagues in action!

Learning how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use automated external defibrillators (AEDs) can save lives. That’s why HCA Virginia Health System recently teamed up with the Compress and Shock Foundation for their 8th annual AED and CPR Education Day! Our dedicated colleagues had the privilege of training over 300 enthusiastic learners at the Petersburg Library, Waymakers Foundation and Hill Street Baptist Church. Together, we worked to educate our wonderful community on the life-saving techniques of compression-only CPR and how to use an AED. Thank you to our colleagues at LewisGale Regional Health System, TriCities Hospital, CJW Medical Center and Henrico, Parham & Retreat Doctors' Hospitals and everyone who participated and helped make our in the Roanoke Valley and Greater Richmond communities safer! 💖 #WeShowUp #HealthierTomorrows
