Hawaiʻi Gas CEO, Alicia Moy, and Executive Director of Clean Energy & Innovation, Nicolas Rodier, detailed our forward movement in a letter to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser discussing a renewable energy future, and encouraging more local partnerships in support of projects that increase our state's energy resiliency.   "Our journey toward increasing production of locally produced renewable energy continues. In the years to come, we will be working with both Eurus Energy America and Hawaiʻi-based Bana Pacific to provide us with renewable green hydrogen and RNG, respectively. The selection of these projects represents forward movement on our path toward decarbonization, with a focus on diversification, reliability and maintaining affordability.   We encourage the continued collaboration of government, business, environmental, and community leaders in support of projects that increase local production of energy, increase energy resiliency, and reduce the state’s carbon footprint.   Hawaiʻi Gas’ current greenhouse gas emissions impact is less than 1% of the state’s total, but there is still much more work to do. Nicolas Rodier participated in the 'Fueling the Future' panel as part of the Hawaii Energy Conference with Julie Yunker, LEED AP, CEM as moderator. Panelists discussed how biofuels are an important part of our resiliency future, as well as the benefits, opportunities, and challenges of biodiesel, renewable diesel, renewable natural gas, and other renewable feedstock material. #higoodenergy

We're thrilled to announce the selection of two upcoming renewable energy projects from last year's RFP: a renewable hydrogen project from Eurus Energy America Corporation and a Renewable Natural Gas project from Bana Pacific Biogas Development.
