This week, a new family has moved into Havenwood. While here, they will have safety, stability, a community that supports them, as well as educational opportunities to improve their job prospects. Each apartment is fully furnished and personalized to meet the family's needs. With case management support, each resident will have two years to rebuild a future for themselves and their children. If they complete the program, they will take all the furnishings of the apartment with them to their new residence and be recognized as part of Havenwood's Alumni Network. This past weekend was a special day at Havenwood. Thank you The Duracell Company! Thank you for your generosity, your hard work, and your compassion. You are an amazing team and we owe you a debt of gratitude. On Saturday, we invited family and friends to celebrate the accomplishments of 3 of our ladies who graduated from our program and are now officially part of Havenwood's 3rd Year Alumni Network. These mothers lived at Havenwood for 2 years while rebuilding their lives toward a brighter future for themselves and their children. Your support provides safety, stability, community, and educational opportunities so these families can move from crisis to self-sufficiency. Thanks to the team at The Duracell Company, tomorrow is going to be a lot of fun!! We will be celebrating 3 of our former residents as we recognize them as offical Havenwood Alumni. The families work incredibly hard during their 2-year stay and these wonderful families have persevered through some of life's biggest challenges. 14 families living together in a season of transition, moving from crisis to self-sufficiency, is a lot. Earlier today we sent out a request for help in our pantries. Big shout out to Pat Lockridge and the team at engine for jumping in with both feet! Our team is taking your gift and going shopping! Havenwood has a food pantry, cold storage, cleaning pantry, a baby pantry, and a health and beauty pantry, to help our families when their time or budgets start to get a little short. SO MUCH BETTER! Thank you Shawmut Design and Construction and Hugg & Hall Equipment Company! Most of you know about the damage to our playground and the phenomenal work done by volunteers to clear out the debris. Shawmut stepped in to help create a safety buffer from other downed trees and undergrowth in preparation for rebuilding our fence! Our moms and kiddos will have their playground back just in time for our Graduation Day on July 13th! The Duracell Company has partnered with Havenwood to celebrate 3 of our families who have completed the Havenwood program and will officially become Havenwood Alumni. Today, we have 13 mothers and 16 kiddos, and just received word of our newest addition born last night! There is a lot to be excited about today. We'll keep everyone posted on the progress. Volunteers from the area, friends of the staff, and the team from The Duracell Company did a magnificent job clearing out debris from our playground. Now the story gets even better, Jim Evans gets a call from Meloni Carter from Shawmut Design and Construction. They come to the playground and say, "What do you need?" We told them we needed a new fence, debris around the parameter removed to create a safety buffer, and minor repairs to an old shed. Their response was, "No problem. We got it." This is the before photo. We look forward to sharing shots of the finished project in the days or weeks ahead. We can't say thank you enough to the Shawmut Design and Construction company for their help, or the community that has rallied to our aid. An old boss once told me, "God gets people done through work." Thank you, everyone, for responding with compassion, your kind spirit, and your fierce commitment to supporting Havenwood mothers and kiddos. It won't be long until they have a safe playground once again. We are thankful for #Bentonville and #NorthwestArkansas.

I'm still combing through my notes from great content, conversations, and new contacts! It was a great way to learn and encourage one another.
